Jason began his career in 1995 and has earned numerous certifications, ranging from Paramedic training at Mineral Area College to an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University, among many others. Over the past 30 years, he has dedicated his career to serving as a Firefighter, Paramedic, and Dispatcher.

In 2005, Jason became a taxpayer of the Sedgewickville Fire Protection District (SFPD) and later became a full-time resident in the spring of 2019. That same year, he purchased a farm, where he spends much of his free time outside of his full-time firefighting career.

Jason currently serves as Battalion Chief with the Florissant Valley Fire Protection District, bringing his decades of experience and leadership to the department and community.
