Raina joined us March 12, 2024.
She is a Junior at Meadow Heights High School.
We asked the Junior Firefighters to provide a written statement as to why they joined the department and their goals.
From Raina, "The reason I wanted to join the Junior Firefighter is because I wanted to help out the community as much as I can and help with as many fires as possible because there are not very many people that would put their life at risk to help save lives. I am willing to put my life at risk to save someone elses life. It is very nice that people join the fire department to help people. I also wanted to join because I would like to learn how the fires are started and the best way to put out the fires. A little information about me, is that I am currently in school and my plans after I get out of school is to go to Cape CTC to get my EMT and medical stuff I plan on getting as much medical stuff as I can. I want like to get my EMT and I would like to get my First Responder licenses and I would also like to be a Paramedic."
